After graduating from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City with a degree in Accounting & Auditing in 2003, Viet commenced work as an inspector at the Inspection & Technology Transfer Company (ICT), a member of Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology. In October 2005 he moved to Anh Duong Inspection Joint Stock Company (ADI), specialising in Marine industry inspection services. After a short time he was appointed to the position of Manager of the Light Industry Inspection Dept., and carried out various inspections including:
• Supervising loading, un-loading and stowage and pre-loading surveys,
• Loss/damage inspection for insurance companies,
• Quantity and Weight Surveys
• Oil & Gas machinery and equipment quantity & condition surveys,
• Bunkering Surveys
• Furniture & Handicraft Surveys,
• Agricultural Product Surveys,
After some years working in Ho Chi Minh City (South of Vietnam), he moved to Haiphong City to work for Vietnam Energy Inspection Corporation (EIC), one of the largest inspections organizations in Vietnam. His role at EIC was to carry out inspections related to quantity, quality and also catalogue petroleum products both on board and on shore (e.g. outturn surveys, transfer surveys, investigation and control of outturn losses).
In March 2010, he joined McLarens Vietnam Ltd as a Marine Loss Adjuster/Surveyor. He also deals with CAR, EAR and General Property claims.
