Biography

Lytton graduated from the South China Construction College in 1995, with a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. Immediately after graduation, Lytton was employed by a construction company, engaged in construction site and project pre-settlement management. Lytton then joined a foreign insurance company and began training as a loss adjuster. He also participated in professional training courses, including property, construction, machinery breakdown, liability and risk management provided by Guangzhou PICC, Commercial Union, and Jiangsu PICC.

In 1998, Lytton took a three-month legal training course, from which time, he started to handle liability cases such as public liability and employer’s liability.  During the next decade, Lytton handled numerous cases of various types of property, engineering, and loss of profit claims. At the same time, Lytton was promoted to Senior Manager, responsible for business development, internal management, and staff training.

Lytton was one of the first Insurance Certificated Loss Adjusters in the year 2000, as well as the first adjuster to receive the CIRC License acknowledged by the Chinese Insurance Industry Association in the year 2008. Lytton joined McLarens in March 2012 as the Branch Manager and South China Regional Manager.

  • Typhoon damage at a hydropower station in Hunan Province (Excess of RMB 10 Million)
  • BI loss at gas company in Guangzhou (Excess of RMB 73 Million)
  • Machinery breakdown claim at energy company in Zhejiang (RMB 33 Million)
  • Cavitation damage at a hydropower station in Sichuan Province (Excess of RMB 10 Million)
  • Sichuan earthquake damage cases, including damage to building sites and construction engineering losses (Excess of RMB 80 Million)
  • Tianjin Explosion claim (RMB 7 Million)
  • BI claim at a five star hotel in Huizhou – Claim amount RMB 77 million and adjusted to RMB 3.8 million
