- Roberto Alvarez has joined the team in Houston, Texas as Director Latin America / Natural Resources – Senior Executive Loss Adjuster. Roberto comes directly from a global professional services firm specializing in Energy Loss Adjusting and Energy Risk Consulting. He brings extensive knowledge of the energy space, having worked with global loss adjusting firms since 1992. As an adjuster, Roberto’s experience includes offshore/onshore physical damage, builder’s risk, business interruption, seepage and pollution, control of well and machinery breakdown. With decades of expertise, Roberto’s work not only includes hands-on complex claims adjusting, but he has also led and managed teams responding to catastrophic property losses, with significant hurricane expertise. Most recently directing a team in Latin America, Roberto is fluent in English and Spanish, and partially fluent in Portuguese.
- Mike Barnes, Senior Executive Loss Adjuster, who has been with McLarens since 1986, recently returned to the firm’s London operations to join McLarens’ UK-based Natural Resources team. Prior to his return, Mike served in Bahrain for 11 years, with responsibility for McLarens’ group operations in Middle East & Africa region. Mike’s expertise includes managing large losses involving petrochemical plants and refineries, power and desalination plants, aluminium smelters, and arc and blast furnaces, as well as mass transit infrastructure. He brings additional expertise in business interruption and machinery breakdown.
