Cody Gillette began his career in the insurance industry by assisting the family business with claims management and scoping losses. Even in the early stages of his professional career, he has successfully handled numerous complex agriculture claims with multi-million-dollar exposures.
Cody has also handled complex commercial property cases involving various retail, hotel, and real estate risks. He prides himself in being hands-on during assignments, being familiar with the building trades, and has an extensive background in the agricultural industry. Cody was raised on working farms, providing a foundation for understanding conventional and organic farming operations. Before starting at McLarens, Cody worked for a leading pork producer in the Midwest, managing a gestation and farrowing operation in Wisconsin. The experience provided remarkable insight into modern-day farming practices and equipment.
Cody is deeply involved in the equestrian community, and horsemanship comes as almost second nature to him. From his experience competing at local and national events, he understands the nuances between farming and equestrian operations—including the dynamics of expansive equine facilities and breeding operations.
