Specialist adjuster opens new offices in Johor and Penang as team expands threefold
KUALA LUMPUR – MAY 2023: McLarens, the global claims services provider, has expanded its operation in Malaysia with nine senior appointments and two new offices in Johor and Penang. The appointments represent a threefold growth of McLarens’ operational team in Malaysia and will support its strategy to strengthen its technical offering in the fast-growing market, whilst cementing its broader position in the Asia region.All join with expertise in handling high value commercial and complex losses across all classes, with a focus on manufacturing, industrial and commercial property.
Kuala Lumpur: Bryan Tan Geok Seng has joined as Senior General Managerand will head up McLarens’ Kuala Lumpur office, reporting into Veknesh Subramaniam, Managing Director. Bryan has 32 years adjusting experience having held senior management roles at a large international adjusting firm during which he regularly handled multi-million dollar industrial and manufacturing losses. Additional appointments to the Kuala Lumpur team include Lam Choy Heng, General Manager; Choong Hon Mun, Advisor; Ruzaimie Rahman, Manager; and Eugene Wai Sin, Manager.
Johor: Joining to head up the new Johor branch isKoh Sheng Yau, Assistant General Manager. Koh has worked with several international loss adjusting firms in Johor Bahru where he gained vast experience in various types of losses including property and casualty, machinery breakdown, engineering, fidelity guarantee and contractors all risks. Koh is joined in Johor by Ang Ngat YawasManager.
Penang: Joining to head up the new Penang branch is Alvin Loh, Assistant General Manager. Alvin has 25 years adjusting experience and has previously worked within international adjusting firms on a broad spectrum of loss assignments. Leong Kin Choong has also joined the Penang team as Manager.
