Ray worked in the municipal engineering field in Northern Alberta from 1979 to 1983; he was certified as an Engineering Technologist in 1981. He began his insurance career in 1983, in the Vancouver office of 1.5.R.M. In 1984, Ray moved to Calgary to manage I.S.R.M.’s office. In 1992, Ray founded Pro Solido Inc. with the goal of providing professional liability insurers with an efficient alternative to existing independent adjusting firms, while providing claims management and litigation services of the highest quality. In June of 2007. Ray joined Charles Taylor Adjusting in their Calgary office when they purchased the assets of Pro Solido Inc. Ray joined McLarens Canada on June 5, 2023.
