Brendan commenced his insurance career as a commercial account handler with an international insurer in the Republic of Ireland in 2003 whilst undertaking a gap year as part of a Bachelor of Science honours degree at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland.
He returned to the same insurer in 2005 to take up a position in its claims department, which involved management of commercial property damage and liability property damage and casualty claims.
He joined an international loss adjusting firm in 2007 as a property loss adjuster, predominately undertaking loss adjusting assignments throughout the midlands and the northeast of the Republic of Ireland.
In 2010, he accepted a position with another international loss adjusting firm in Northern Ireland. He undertook property damage loss adjusting assignments throughout the province and in Britain. He also assisted with international catastrophe loss adjusting assignments in Queensland, Australia, responding to major damage resulting from cyclones.
In 2015, Brendan relocated with the same firm to Sydney, Australia, where he gained further experience in commercial, body corporate, and high-net worth property claims and grew a following from several major insurers. He was promoted to the position of General Adjuster – Major and Complex Loss in 2019, before joining McLarens in 2022 as a Senior Loss Adjuster where he undertook loss adjusting assignments of several major and complex commercial property damage losses.
Brendan returned to his roots in Ireland in July 2024 when he joined McLarens Ireland as an Executive Loss Adjuster.
