McLarens company Airclaims, one of the world’s leading providers of survey and loss adjusting services to the global aviation industry, has expanded its Latin American operations following increased client demand in the region. The aviation specialist has announced the opening of its second office in Brazil, along with strategic recruitment in Brazil and Mexico, new representation in Ecuador and the expansion of its regional footprint into Peru.
Against these latest developments, Airclaims now has officeagains and representatives operating out of 13 countries across the region: Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Jamaica, Colombia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras.
Brazil: Airclaims’ new office in Brasilia will be headed by Carlos Alberto da Conceicao. Carlos, a qualified pilot with over 4,000 hours of flight time, was previously President of Brazil’s Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Centre (CENIPA). He has also held a number of prominent positions within the aviation sector, including Chief of the Airspace Control Operational Safety Advisory, and Brigadier in the Brazilian Air Force. This second office supports the long established Brazilian head office in Sao Paulo and its team of three aviation surveyors, headed by Fernando Rodrigues.
Mexico: Mario Campos has joined Airclaims’ Mexico team of five aviation surveyors. Mario will be based in the company’s Mexico City office, which has been serving the region for over two decades and is headed by Gabriel Saucedo and Alberto Martinez. Having worked in the Aviation Industry for 31 years, Mario has diverse experience gained working for a number of airlines and aviation manufacturers including Mexicana, Aeromexico, AeroCalifornia and Eurocopter Mexico, a Division of the EADS Group.
Peru: Luis Guillermo Avila joins Airclaims, as its Representative in Peru. Luis has over 4,000 hours of flight time in helicopters and has been in the aviation industry for over 33 years, including 13 years in the Navy, where he rose to the position of Commander.

Ken Forsyth, Regional Director, Americas, commented: “Airclaims has been operating in Latin America for over 4 decades and in that time has built a reputation as the market leader. Historically, much of this work would have been undertaken by Airclaims’ North American network, today the company sees increasing demand for local expertise on the ground. In response Airclaims is meeting this demand via continued expansion of the company’s regional footprint. Further recruitment across the Americas is anticipated in the coming months.”
Nigel Minett, Managing Director, commented: “These are the latest steps in a period of sustained international growth for Airclaims, and underpin the company’s position as one of the leading providers of aviation survey and loss adjusting services across the globe. The opportunity to extend Airclaims’ global network was a key factor in the decision to merge with McLarens in 2011. Since then Airclaims has seen significant expansion across the emerging markets; first in the Middle East, opening the company’s regional hub office in Abu Dhabi in 2012, and now in Latin America. Moving forward the long term strategy remains focused on growth in key markets across the globe.”
