Prior to joining McLarens, James (Jim) spent seventeen years in the restoration industry working for personal lines, commercial, historic, industrial, and public entity clients. He specialises in large loss recovery in North America and the Caribbean and has extensive experience in fungal, lead, asbestos, and hazardous materials losses. He is also well versed in handling large water losses, black water recovery, and vital records and historic documents recovery.
Jim has served as CAT duty team leader for major loss emergency response assessments. With over fifteen years of experience in public and private first party property claims, he has published articles in the Disaster Recovery Journal and The Insurance Claims Journal. Jim has also spoken at numerous seminars and conferences concerning education and training for disaster preparedness planning.
