SITUATION
The auditorium and band rooms for a large Washington State High School were flooded with thousands of gallons of water caused by a nearby ruptured water main. The loss was in the middle of summer, and it was questionable whether the damage could be repaired in time to save the upcoming school year.
SCENARIO
Getting the repairs completed quickly was a top priority of the school district management. McLarens’ Norcross team was nominated in the policy and assigned a local adjuster to the claim. He had extensive experience with water restoration losses, and had worked previously with a local water remediation contractor.
OUTCOME
Working closely with the school, the contractor, and the carrier, decisions were made quickly and repairs were completed before the students returned to school for the new year.
