Spanish operation will expand the global adjuster’s European footprint and serve as a hub for Spanish, Latin American and London Market assignments
ATLANTA, GEORGIA – FEBRUARY 2022: Leading global insurance services provider McLarens, has opened a new office in Madrid, Spain. In addition to expanding its European footprint, and handling losses in Spain for McLarens’ global client base, the office will serve Spanish and global clients with interests in Latin America and internationally.
Heading up the office is long serving McLarens’ adjuster David Matias. Newly appointed Country Manager for Spain, David has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, and has held leadership positions with McLarens in London, Mexico and, most recently, the United States. He began his insurance career in 1999 in London, working for a Spanish insurance company in their underwriting and claims departments, before moving into loss adjusting where he has handled and overseen high profile, multi-million-dollar losses across the globe.
David is multi-lingual and will work closely with both McLarens’ London market and Latin American teams, reporting into David Pigot, McLarens’ Director of London Markets and Global Head of Specialty, and Leonardo Garzon, Managing Director, Latin America. McLarens’ Latin American operation incorporates a network of 16 offices and affiliates operating in North, Central and South America, managing complex losses across a range of specialist practice groups including Machinery Breakdown, Marine, Engineering, Power & Energy, Construction & Erection All Risks, Business Interruption / Delay in Start Up, Agriculture, Cyber, and Financial Lines.
The new McLarens Spain office is located in the LEED-certified Castellana 81 building in central Madrid.
