Having served at sea as an officer and master mariner with various shipping companies upon graduating from Korean Maritime and Ocean University, Capt. Sam Park commenced his claims handling career as an average adjuster at Richards Hogg International in 1980. After 8 years with the company, he founded Spark International in 1988, a maritime claims consultancy & survey company. Thereafter, he set up McLarens Korea office, a joint venture firm with McLarens group in 2000.
He is an arbitrator of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board and a mediator of Korean civil courts.
