After serving at sea as an officer and master mariner for Shinwa Kaiun for 5 years, Capt. Sam Park commenced his claims handling career as an average adjuster at Richards Hogg International in 1980. After 8 years at the company, he founded Spark International in 1988, a maritime claims consulting & survey company. Thereafter, he set up McLarens Korea office, a joint venture firm with McLarens group in 2000.
Capt. Park’s experience and depth of understanding of the industry have made him a sought-after resource for his expert opinions and insights. He is an arbitrator and a mediator of Korean Commercial court of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
