Darrell has diverse experience in civil aviation, having worked in general aviation before moving on to scheduled air transport. After obtaining his Bachelor of Engineering Degree with high distinction in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University in Canada, Darrell gained experience with helicopters and small aircraft at Sabah Air in Malaysia and later worked as an engineer at AirAsia. Darrell then spent 5 years working as a Technical Services Engineer with Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong, rounding off his technical knowledge and familiarity with avionics, systems, structures and powerplants. He joined the McLarens Aviation Singapore office as an Aviation Surveyor in 2014 and has more recently moved to our Sydney office.
