Halsey graduated from Qinghai University in 2008, with a Bachelors degree in Mechanics. Following his graduation, he joined Lianzhong Stainless Steel Corporation as a mechanical engineer and was responsible for purchasing and production. Halsey joined McLarens Man Yee in April 2011 as a Loss Adjuster in the Property and Casualty Claims team. Halsey left McLarens and joined Allianz China Guangzhou in 2017, then rejoined McLarens in May 2019 as Property and Casualty Manager of Guangzhou branch.
