Mairaj’s professional journey began after completing his graduation in 2015. He started his career as an Executive loss adjuster at an Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors firm, where he specialized in handling Property and CAR/EAR claims. Later, he pursued a postgraduation program under the Ministry of Power (NPTI) and gained practical experience as an intern engineer at the Badarpur power plant for one year.
Mairaj was a founding member of RCS Surveyor and Loss Adjuster in 2018, where he conducted various loss surveys related to Property, Casualty/Miscellaneous, Construction and Engineering claims over a period of 4 years. He also took on a significant role in managing catastrophic claims, including those arising from the Uttarakhand Flash-Flood (2021), Bihar Flood (2020), FANI Cyclone in Orissa (2019), and Kerala Flood (2018), where he was actively involved in surveying and assessing losses.
He joined McLarens in 2022 as a Manager (Loss Adjuster) of claims handler duty. Since then, he has been actively engaged in handling CAT loss claims, such as those resulting from the Bijproy cyclone and Maharashtra and Gujarat floods, as well as other property losses. His expertise extends to managing major machinery breakdowns, explosions, property fires, and flood claims in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Mairaj has been involved with the Insurance Institute of India and the Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors associations.
