Maria is a Civil Engineer who graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1992 and then received her Masters Degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, USA, in 1994.
She worked for PT. Jembo Cable, a cable manufacturer, as an Estimator in 1992 before she continued her studies in USA in 1993 – 1994. From early 1995, she worked for Asea Brown Bovery (ABB) Group, one of the largest electrical companies in the world, where she gained experience in power generation manufacturing and constructing transmission lines. Mid 1996, she moved to Ciputra Group, a real estate developer, where she worked as Head Quantity Surveyor and Cost Control and was responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and monitoring the construction of Citra Indah, a 600 ha real estate development.
Prior to joining PT. McLarens Indonesia in 2011, she worked for GAB Robins local representatives . She has dealt with a wide range of losses including major fires, floods, earthquakes, and other casualty specialising in construction losses, as well as preparing a number of risk assessment and evaluation reports.
