Monica has an overall experience spanning of 13 years in her career. She began her career in insurance industry in 2015 Absolute Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors, and spent 3 years as a Loss Adjuster, concentrating on Fire and CAR/EAR claims, including those related to Catastrophe losses such as the 2015 South India Floods.
She is a licensed Surveyor and Loss Adjuster in various departments like Fire, Marine Cargo, Marine Hull & Machinery. She joined McLarens in 2020 and worked as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for India region and has spent 2.5 years handling overseas and regional claims, additionally notably handling claims during the 2021 Maharashtra Floods and Cyclone Tauktae claims.
In December 2022, she has been promoted to Senior Manager and is responsible for administration and loss adjustment in Mumbai and its associate offices. Her current role comprises of supervision of Mumbai Team by managing Survey Team activities, providing guidance and leadership for accomplishing key goals in terms of timely and quality services. Monica’s major focus areas are managing Management Information Systems (MIS) and devising innovative strategies for claims resolution and reducing TAT.
Prior entering the insurance surveying industry, Monica worked as an Inspection Engineer at SGS. During the span of over 5 years, she held the position of Junior Engineer in Heavy Metal & Tubes (India) Pvt. Ltd. and served as Chief Engineer in a Pump Manufacturing Company responsible for production planning, R&D activities and implementing Quality Assurance Procedures. She also played a very significant role in ISO:9001 and Six Sigma Audits.
