After completing her graduation in 2008, Shakuntala started her career as a back-office executive at ICICI Prudential. She moved to Shriram Value Services as a Process Associate and worked for over 5 years wherein she ably handled roles involving administrative and process-oriented responsibilities within the insurance and financial services sector.
She entered loss adjusting field in 2014 with Absolute Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors in Mumbai, focusing on Miscellaneous & Fire claims. The role involved assessing, evaluating, and facilitating settlements for various insurance claims and gained enriching experience to handle different types of claims.
Shakuntala joined McLarens in 2020 and has an expertise in handling Property, Marine, and catastrophic claims. Notably, at present she holds a position in managing the Marine claims team in Mumbai. She is the primary point of contact and skilfully manages communication with several stakeholders for claim processing and ensuring timely resolutions. She proficiently manages various types of claims and responsibilities, particularly within the Marine claims’ domain.
