Educated at Leeds Beckett University obtaining a BA Honors in 2011, Thomas enjoyed a successful period in hospitality before moving into a career in Insurance in 2017.
During this time Thomas has completed the CII Diploma and CILA Diploma and he is currently studying to become a Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
Thomas began his Insurance career through a graduate program with a large domestic and commercial loss adjuster where he spent 12 months developing his skills as a claims technician before being promoted to a Loss Adjuster.
As an adjuster Thomas progressed well to deal with more complex Commercial and High Net Worth claims for a broad range of Insurers. Following a successful 3.5 years developing as an external loss adjuster and undertaking further studies, Thomas secured a role at McLarens.
NOTABLE ASSIGNMENTS:
- Thomas has worked through several surge events, most notably Storm Ciara and Dennis in 2020 where he undertook up to 15 visits per week within the North and Midlands areas for multiple significant losses of up to £100,000 in value.
- The largest claim from this surge event was in Greater Manchester involving a High Net Worth individual and Insurer with significant storm losses resulting in an indemnity spend of £96,000.
- Thomas has dealt with a portfolio of property losses up to £100,000 in value across the North West, Midlands and West Yorkshire.
