Trehane has over 30 years’ experience working in the aviation insurance sector. Trehane became Managing Director of McLarens Aviation in 2019. Before taking on the position of Managing Director, Trehane’s role was Business Development Director, where he oversaw business development strategy and implementation across the McLarens Aviation network.
Prior to McLarens, he held senior underwriting and broking roles within the London and international markets. On the underwriting side, he held both Business Development and Portfolio Management roles within the Lloyds market. As a broker, he spent 16 years at Willis, culminating in a senior regional role within the aviation team.
Trehane is a fluent Spanish speaker who has held overseas posts in Buenos Aires and Mexico City. Whilst based in Argentina, he gained his Private Pilot’s Licence. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
